Since 1997 we have been laying a foundation to supply gourmet olive oil from Turkey to the US by following principles above-and-beyond the principles of "fair trade." We are in partnership with a group of international companies that have been supplying healthy food products since 1892. As part of this group of companies we have offices in Asia, North & South America and do business in 80 nations. With a very short supply chain, we bring food to your table through some of the largest retail grocery and food service companies in the US. We also have strategic partnerships with olive growers and olive oil crushing plants through our network of producers. The founders of our Turkish office are from the US and have been living in Turkey since 1997. So we understand the mindset and needs of our North American customers and our Turkish suppliers. In our best season we supplied over 20% of the bottled Turkish extra virgin olive oil to the US market. Our products have been sold in 7,000 points of sale in 30 US states.

Our Olive Oil - single-origin with a light, fruity taste profile

Our single-origin extra virgin olive oil has a fruity, light flavor that is specially suited for the North American market. It does not have as much of the bitter after-taste found in some oils. This due to the the varieties of olives we use, the sandy soil, the glorious climate conditions and the careful processing. Our olives are hand picked and then brought to collection stations by the growers and harvesters. The best olives are selected and crushed. Because our olive oil comes from just one origin, from Turkey, we have more control over the quality. We never blend olive oil from several nations so we don't have to try to hide the real origins with deceptive labeling like some many olive oils you find on US supermarket shelves. The soil that is now belongs to the nation of Turkey is actually the original home of the olive tree. Some of our olive oil comes from trees that have been bearing fruit for a 1,000 years! A few miles from where we opened our first office are the remnants of one of the oldest known olive oil factories in the world. 2,500 years ago olive oil was being produced on here on the Mediterranean coast (Aegean Sea).

Our Founder - An impassioned olive oil entrepreneur
In 2003 the founder of our Turkish olive oil company, Mr. Dennis McGee, was the only foreign speaker at the First Turkish Olive Oil & Table Olive Symposium (Türkiye I. Zeytinyağı ve Sofralık Zeytin Sempozyumu’nu)* held in Izmir, Turkey. In 2008 he was the only foreigner to present in Turkish at the First Eastern Mediterranean Olive and Olive Oil Summit (1. Doğu Akdeniz Zeytin ve Zeytinyağı Zirvesi). He has done extensive research on the US retail olive oil market and negotiated with executives from some of the top 3 food retailers in North America. He was trained in the art of olive oil tasting by an IOOC (International Olive Oil Council) certified laboratory. Dennis was a founding member of the largest olive oil association in Turkey, (and the only foreign founder), "Olive Friends Association" (www.Zeytindostu.org).
